Terms & Conditions

These terms cover the purchase and delivery of OwnerBuilderHQ services. They're written to be read. (Template pending final solicitor review — the operative version is provided with each engagement.)
1. What you're engaging us for
Independent construction education and document review, delivered remotely, for a fixed fee agreed before work starts. The scope of each service is as described on its service page at the time of booking, and the boundary in ourdisclaimer forms part of every engagement.
2. Fees and payment
- All fees are fixed and quoted in AUD, inclusive of GST where applicable.
- Payment is due before delivery begins unless a staged schedule is agreed in writing.
- Package services may be paid in agreed instalments; instalments pause if your build pauses.
3. Turnarounds
Published turnarounds (48 hours for a Quote Teardown, one week for a Pre-Start Review) run from when we hold complete documents. If your project needs longer, we tell you before you pay.
4. Refunds
- Any service not yet started: full refund on request, no questions.
- Once review work is underway, the fee stands — the work product is the review itself.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, legible documents and accurate project information.
- Verify regulatory matters with the relevant authority before acting.
- Make your own decisions — our findings inform them, they don't make them.
6. Confidentiality and case studies
Your documents stay confidential. We publish anonymised case-study figures (dollar amounts and finding types only) unless you ask us not to — tell us at engagement and nothing is used.
